For this collaboration project we decided to go along the motion capture root. To do this we were trained in the use of the mo-cap suite. I learnt how to calibrate the cameras and place the markers on the actor. This allowed us to book out the room by ourselves and capture our performance. The director chose to be the actor, however the animators were present and gave him feedback and advise. We took around 15 takes in order to make sure we had what we needed.
Once we had the data we had to decide which take we liked best. We tested them on the rig before settling on our favourite. The next step was to clean the data as it was quite messy. After cleaning it I was able to add my own touches, such as improving some poses and timings. I could then focus on the Lip-Sync and facial expressions.
